"Rock'n'Roll Star!" śledzi drogę Bowiego do Ziggy'ego Stardusta. Od wczesnych domowych nagrań demo, sesji radiowych i występów na żywo po nagrania sesyjne, dogrywki i alternatywne wersje z nagrywania The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust.
Rock 'N' Roll Star! zawiera 29 niepublikowanych utworów, w tym wczesne dema piosenek, nagrania zespołu Davida The Arnold Corns, próby w byłym domu Bowiego Haddon Hall, sesje BBC, single, występy na żywo, outtakes i alternatywne wersje z oryginalnych sesji nagraniowych albumu, zremiksowane przez oryginalnego producenta albumu Kena Scotta.
Wśród niewydanych wcześniej utworów znalazły się alternatywna wersja "Lady Stardust", niesłyszana wersja klasyka Deep Cut "Shadow Man" oraz nagranie w tempie The Who "I Can't Explain", które później zwolnił i wykonał na albumie Pin-Ups.
Blu-ray zawiera ostateczny remaster oryginalnego albumu Ziggy Stardust z 2012 roku w 96kHz/24bit PCM Stereo, album i dodatkowe miksy z 2003 roku w DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, a także single, outtakes i alternatywne wersje w 96kHz/24bit PCM Stereo.
Blu-Ray zawiera również wersję albumu Ziggy Stardust zatytułowaną Waiting In The Sky (Before The Starman Came To Earth), wykonaną z taśm studyjnych Trident z 15 grudnia 1971 roku i zawierającą alternatywną kolejność oraz cztery utwory, które nie znalazły się na ostatecznym albumie.
