Opis
Moment kiedy Aretha Franklin dołączyła do Atlantic Records w 1967 roku, był początkiem bezprecedensowej kariery. The Atlantic Singles Collection 1967-1970 zawiera 34 singli, które Franklin wydała podczas swoich pierwszych trzech lat w Atlantic Records. Ułożone w porządku chronologicznym utwory pojawiły się pierwotnie na sześciu studyjnych albumach: I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You (1967), Aretha Arrives (1967), Lady Soul (1968), Aretha Now (1968), Soul '69 (1969), This Girl's In Love With You (1970), and Spirits In The Dark (1970). Jedynym wyjątkiem jest cover "Border Song" Eltona Johna, który został wydany jako singiel w 1970 roku, a później pojawił się na jej albumie z 1972 roku Young, Gifted and Black.
