Tegoroczne wydanie albumu „Wish You Were Here 50th Anniversary” daje fanom niesamowitą, nową perspektywę na jeden z najbardziej kultowych i ukochanych albumów Pink Floyd.

Edycja jubileuszowa zawiera wielopłytowy zestaw rarytasów – sercem tej wyjątkowej kolekcji jest sześć wcześniej niepublikowanych alternatywnych wersji i demo, które przedstawiają ósmy album studyjny Pink Floyd w zupełnie nowy sposób, zachęcający do wielokrotnego słuchania.

Zestaw obejmuje płytę Blu-Ray z miksem Dolby Atmos przygotowanym po raz pierwszy przez Jamesa Guthrie, a także 25 dodatkowych utworów: dziewięć rarytasów studyjnych oraz 16 nagrań koncertowych zarejestrowanych przez legendarnego bootleggera Mike’a Millarda podczas koncertu Pink Floyd w Los Angeles Sports Arena, 26 kwietnia 1975 roku. Nagrania koncertowe zostały starannie odrestaurowane i zremasterowane przez Stevena Wilsona. Na krążku Blu-Ray znajdują się również trzy filmy wyświetlane na ekranach podczas trasy zespołu w 1975 roku oraz krótkometrażowy film Storma Thorgersona.

Poza tym w boksie znajdują się dwie płyty CD oraz 4 przezroczyste winyle, które zawierają oryginalny album oraz dziewięć bonusowych utworów studyjnych. Tylko w tym zestawie znalazł się czwarty winyl – Live At Wembley 1974, a także replika japońskiego 7-calowego singla „Have A Cigar” / „Welcome To The Machine”, twarda oprawiona książka z niepublikowanymi zdjęciami, komiksowy program trasy koncertowej oraz plakat z Knebworth.

Album „Wish You Were Here” zawiera takie klasyki jak: „Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, hipnotyzujące „Welcome To The Machine”, kąśliwe „Have a Cigar” oraz tytułowy utwór – bez wątpienia jedna z najważniejszych płyt w historii muzyki popularnej.
