Howard Shore: Anthology - The Paris Concerts ukazuje się nakładem Deutsche Grammophon. Przygotowany artystycznie przez wielokrotnie nagradzanego kanadyjskiego kompozytora i długo oczekiwany podwójny album przedstawia wybrane, najważniejsze utwory z wielu najbardziej lubianych partytur, w tym fragment ścieżek dźwiękowych filmów: The Fly, Ed Wood, Crash, Eastern Promises oraz oczywiście The Lord of the Rings i The Hobbit. Nagrania powstały podczas wyprzedanego Howard Shore Weekend w Radio France, z Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France (OPRF), pod dyrekcją Ludwiga Wickiego i Bastiena Stila, oraz z orkiestrą kameralną Le Balcon pod dyrekcją Mike'a Schäperclausa. Wydanie tego albumu zbiega się z pierwszym w historii London Soundtrack Festival, którego inauguracyjna nagroda Inspiration Award zostanie wręczona Howardowi Shore 22 marca wieczorem, w ramach koncertu galowego w Royal Festival Hall.

Muzyka Howarda Shore'a uświetniła ponad sto filmów i przyniosła mu szereg nagród, w tym 3 Oscary, 3 Złote Globy i 4 Grammy. Kompozytor tworzy również muzykę dla opery i baletu oraz liczne utwory przeznaczone do wykonań estradowych.
