BONGO FURY kończy 50 lat! Klasyczna współpraca Franka Zappy i Captain Beefhearta w maju 1975 roku zaowocowała lawiną nowych kompozycji, trasą koncertową i ostatecznie albumem. Bongo Fury składa się głównie z nagrań na żywo z Armadillo Headquarters w Austin w Teksasie, a także z kilku nagrań studyjnych z The Record Plant w Los Angeles. Album jest niezapomnianym dodatkiem do katalogu Zappa i ostatnim, na którym pojawia się nazwa zespołu „Mothers” przed wycofaniem go z dystrybucji w 1976 roku.

Ta nowa edycja z okazji 50. rocznicy zawiera w całości analogowy mastering głównego albumu przez Berniego Grundmana na 180-gramowym czarnym winylu z oryginalnych taśm-matek. Zawiera również płytę bonusową z najważniejszymi fragmentami z 6-płytowego boxu, litografię oraz książeczkę z niepublikowanymi zdjęciami i notatkami członka zespołu, Denny'ego Walleya i Vaultmeistera Joe Traversa.
